Bookshelf decor with 50 characters – including the couple of owners – sculpted in wood in the Henry II style.
The work took six months to carry out.
The entrance door to the Salle des Pas Perdus had been destroyed by fire.
Thanks to meticulously-preserved documents, the 2 bas-reliefs could be sculpted again from a single block.
The decor of the 6 Place Vendôme carriage gates – including those of the Sultan of Brunai’s town house – were re-sculpted.
Following a 6-month survey, the gates were reproduced in plaster before being sculpted in wood. « This considerable preparation phase enabled us to undertake this meticulous and invaluable work” : Etienne Rayssac
